Climbing out of the U.S. housing slump "will be slow" and home prices will "remain vulnerable to shocks," mortgage finance giant Freddie Mac said Thursday.
In its March outlook the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. said developers had built homes on speculation in many parts of the country and in many cases were now "saddled with unsold units."
