- Mat B. has sent out a survey test in Beta mode to gather more data toward the web based database project under way (do we have a database name yet Matt?)
- The EPA has released summaries of who got which environmental clean up contract through their cool non-profit website clu-in.
- New homes are getting smaller, according to American Architects, with people more interested in more efficient use of available space than in more square footage.
- The new list of the top 25 population centers has been released. The trend continues that cities in the Northeast and Midwest tend to be losing (population).The fastest growing cities are in the South and West. Also -Phoenix jumped ahead of Philadelphia on the list.
- The EPA is building something they are calling the Support for Environmental Rapid Risk Assessment (SERRA) Database, in support of Homeland Security requirements.
- Off the shelf systems that use Ultra Violet light to purify in air in ventalation systems have been evaluated by the EPA. They then provided these documents showing the effectiveness of various products.
- This balanced analysis by Bill Ross of the The Mortgage Foundation summarizes what has happened in the mortgage industry in the last two years. It is worth a read. He says that 2007 will be the bottom of this correction, and he projects a return to growth by early 2008.
- I found this Residential Construction Guidebook that fouses on regulation issues, put out by the University of Montana. I can't reccomend or reute the book, just a lot of interestng builder-freindly information.
