The adjustment in the Massachusetts bubble continues. Regions that have been overvalued like Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada,California continue to adjust downward. In Texas, Illinois and Kansas homes are moving much slower than usual, but prices are not dropping as much as expected. Analysts are mixed as to the value of large residential builder stock values. Some think their values will continue to fall, and some think that this is a buying opportunity. There is still no sign of the expected consent decrees signed national builders.
Non-Residential building keeps growing. Firms specializing in this kind of construction have fewer, larger projects than residential builders, but their work is higher profile. There are speculators beginning to take over land given up by national builders. These will become new land developers in the next cycle.

I can only answer this personally and hope that the company philosophy is the same as mine. I do what I do for many reasons. I strive to be the best I can be at whatever I am doing. If that means taking a few extra minutes to look over the plan again, then that is what I do. If I have to make an extra phone call, or walk to the other end of the building - again! - or send another e-mail to verify information; that is what I am charged with doing. Our clients expect a quality product and we should always provide that. Our company did not rise to the top of the industry by doing inferior work. I guess I follow the Golden Rule philosophy and always make sure the quality of work that I deliver is the same that I expect for myself.
Congratulations, Kathy
